From the performance – thanks to the fantastic 689cc parallel twin-cylinder engine – to the electronic package, through to the top-level chassis, everything has been the subject of a deep study by Fantic's R&D department. Only one fundamental characteristic has remained the same, the perfect balance between road and off-road fun, as befits an authentic scrambler.
Caballero 700 is the only model in the segment to boast a set of parameters that allow it to tackle roads and trails without worries: 19" and 17”, wire-spoked wheels and optimised suspension combined with a weight of only 175kg (without fuel) make for agility, safety and precision riding on any terrain.
Features may include:
The highlight feature of the bike is the brand new Minarelli Euro 5 125cc 4-stroke engine. A latest generation engine capable of ensuring an increase in performance in terms of torque and power, while complying with the Euro 5 homologation regulations. The engine that powers the Fantic 125 Scrambler is technically advanced, equipped with electronic fuel injection, slipper clutch and Variable Valve Actuation system. The VVA System, thanks to an actuator, allows the most efficient and best performing cam to be available at any rpm, always guaranteeing maximum acceleration. The new cylinder head offers more efficient combustion, which is translated into more power, less fuel consumption and less pollution. The slipper clutch prevents the rear wheel locking when riders decelerate, ensuring greater safety.
The Caballero is a true dual sport bike. The Caballero range features a Chrome-molybdenum steel central-tube frame. This technical choice favours once again lightness, ensuring incredible agility and comfort. The front fork is a 41mm upside-down FANTIC FRS, the rear suspension is an adjustable FANTIC FRS. The spoked 19" front and 17" rear wheels give it a real scrambler look, with Pirelli Scorpion Rally 110/80-19 130/80-17 knobby tyres. The 320mm front and 230mm rear wave brake discs, and the disengageable dual-channel Continental ABS guarantee great safety in every situation.
It all began with a Caballero. Red tank, always shiny, race number plate, wide handlebars and knobby tyres. The rest was road, dust and adventure. This is how I fell in love with two wheels.
